Much-loved for its refreshing and fragrant characteristics, Earl Grey is a blend of black tea with aromatic essential oil of bergamot, a type of citrus found all over the Mediterranean.

This tea classic is named after the 19th century British Prime Minister Earl Grey, who according to tea legend received a diplomatic gift of tea from China. He loved this deliciously exotic tea so much that he asked his tea-makers to recreate the distinctive taste. Their version of the blend thereafter became known as Earl Grey tea.
